Maria Cristina Thompson, 89 years young, passed away peacefully in her home in Hollywood, Florida in the early hours on Monday, October 23, 2017. She was in the company of her beloved husband, George, who has been by her side throughout her battle with dementia.
Known by her close friends as Cristina, born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, Central America on
August 5, 1928. The daughter of Alfredo and Emma Penman.
Cristina lived a good life, was surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a sassy and spunky lady, never a dull moment when she was around. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing.
Cristina is survived by her husband George Thompson, sons, Jorge Thompson and Cathy (wife) of Tampa, Florida, Jose Mejia and Maria (wife) of Newark, DE; daughters, Evelyn Thompson Koganti and Siva (husband) of Hyderabad, India; Maria Regalado and Mario (husband) of Lake Worth, Florida. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like express their greatest gratitude to Marlene Martinez who helped to take care of Cristina for the last 5 years.
