John A. Bisceglia, Sr., 70, of Lorain, passed away, Tuesday October 24, 2017, at Mercy Regional Medical Center, Lorain following a lengthy illness.
Other than his parents John was preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years Dawna M. (née Workman) Bisceglia on January 27, 2014. John retired as an assembler in 1995 from the Lorain Ford Assembly Plant he worked there for 30 years. In 1999 he joined the Lorain Police Auxiliary earning the rank of Captain before retiring this year. John enjoyed calling Bingo for Lorain Catholic High School, St. Mary Church and the Lorain Senior Center. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local 425 Retirees of Lorain. John was a trustee of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 46, Lorain. He was a great guy with a biting sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew him.
He will be dearly missed by his sons John A. (Rhonda) Bisceglia, Jr. of North Ridgeville and Jamie (Margie) Bisceglia of Elyria; daughters, Rebecca Bisceglia and Falisha Bisceglia both of Lorain; sisters Sue (Jan) Snedaker of Sheffield Village and Frances Reising of Avon; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and brother in laws Richard, Mich...[more]

His family will receive friends Thursday, October 26 from 4 to 8 PM in the Richard J. Reidy Funeral Home, 1783 East 31st Street, South Lorain. His funeral will be Friday Morning at 10 AM in the funeral home. Shawn Cleveland will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
