an book store. After selling the book store, we went to work for Faith Evangelical Free Church where he served for over 15 years in facilities.
He enjoyed camping with his family, swimming in their pool in California, golfing and traveling with his wife, Arlene. They frequently went to Disneyland or Disneyworld; and even went on two Disney cruises with their daughter Christy and her husband Jim. Carroll loved to work in his yard and enjoyed God's creation.
Melanoma cancer was discovered on his ear in 1994, and while God has blessed him in many ways, there have challenges along the way.
Carroll is survived by his loving wife of 61 ½ years, Arlene, their three daughters: Debra (Dave) Abbey, Nancy (Barry) Dineen, and Christy (James) Shaffer; twelve grandchildren: Erin Dineen, Jed Dineen, Robyn (Roy) Larson, Ryan Abbey, Rebekah Abbey, Brittany Shaffer, Raymond (Ashley) Abbey, Richard (Edith) Abbey, and Randall Abbey; twelve great-grandchildren; and his brother Melvin Jantzen. He is preceded by his parents, Dave and Elizabeth Jantzen.
He loved our Lord a Savior Jesus Christ and so desired for his family and friends to know Christ and to have a personal relationship with Him. He was a wonderful, loving husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa and friend. He was always generous with his time, talents and finances; a constant encourager and mentor.
A Celebration of Carroll's Life will be held at Faith EV Free Church, 3920 S. Shields St. Fort Collins, Colorado at 2:00 PM Thursday on October 26, 2017. Carroll will be laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
