Clinton High School in 1934. In Millie's 100 years she was an avid gardener, and a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in Camanche where she served as a Sunday School teacher for 40+ years. She was a diehard Cubs fan, and was happy to see them win the World Series last year. Her greatest joy in life was her Lord and Savior and her family. She was proud of her spelling and won a spelling bee.
Mildred married Bernard Vogel on July 5, 1941 in Camanche; he died October 20, 1999. Together they raised three sons: David (Linda), Bernie (Jackie), James (Esther) Vogel, and a daughter: Irene (Steve) Lansing all of Camanche. She had 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren, and special nephews and a very special niece. Also she is survived by a sister: Berniece Bolte and sister-in-law: Helen Mensinger both from Camanche. She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard, and infant son, Robert, two brothers: Russell and Henry Mensinger, both of Camanche, and a dear grandson: Jimmy Vogel.
