Jack enjoyed fishing in Canada, sailing in the Caribbean and traditional jazz. Jack was proud to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout with the B.S.A., He Served as scoutmaster for many years. Jack became an Associate Cistercian at the New Melleray Abbey, Peosta, IA. He brought communion and friendship to those homebound and to the residents of the Dupage Care Center, Wheaton, IL. Visitation on Monday, October 30th, 2017, will be at 9:00am at St Irene Church 28W441 Warrenville Rd., Warrenville, IL followed by a funeral mass at 10:00am Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, after 10:00 a.m. at Leonard Funeral Home, 2595 Rockdale Rd, Dubuque, IA. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Olivet Cemetery, 10556 Military Rd, Dubuque, IA with Rev. Tom McAndrew officiating and military honors by American Legion Post #6.
