Denise Torres-Leakakos, 51, of Margate, Florida, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 at her home.
Born in New York, New York on January 25, 1966, the daughter of Millie (Borgos) Torres and Fernando Luis Torres, II. At the age of 4 Denise and her family moved from the Bronx, New York to South Florida (Hollywood) and later lived in Loxahatchee, Florida. Following her graduation from Twin Lakes High School in West Palm Beach, she attended Atlantic Technical Center.
She was a former employee of Lauderdale Imports and National Bank (Bank of America) . Denise was a very creative soul, loved writing poetry, reading, working with crafts and quilting. She also enjoyed her time at the ocean and being outside sunbathing at the beach.
Survived by her loving daughter, Kamille Leakakos, devoted mother, Millie Borgos Torres, loving brother, Fernando L. Torres, III, dear grandmother, Haydee Carrubba, niece, Tonisty Torres, her uncle, Ray Fernandez, several cousins, extended family and friends.
