Bernice Marie Gallo, age 99, passed away October 26, 2017, at CHI-Mercy Hospital. Bernice was born January 20, 1918, in Atlantic, Iowa, to the late Harry and Anine (Christensen) Hansen, and with her family moved to Council Bluffs in 1932. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1936. Bernice was united in marriage to Albert F. "Boots" Gallo Sr., on June 13, 1943. During WWII, Bernice worked for World Radio and the Martin Bomber Plant, then later for Paulson Construction. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier and Queen of the Apostles Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Robert J., in 1949, son, Albert F. Gallo, "PeeWee" Jr., in 1996; and husband, Albert "Boots", in 2008; sisters, Helyn Sellers and Clarice "Pat" Andersen; brothers, Harry Hansen, Jr. and Don Hansen. Bernice is survived by her daughters, Susan (Ken) Wiebelhaus of Omaha, Neb., Sally Gallo of Council Bluffs; 6 grandchildren, Shawn (Jenny) Wiebelhaus, Scott (Patty) Wiebelhaus, Jeff Wiebelhaus, Jamie (Kelly) Mehling, Theresa (Stevan) Cravey, Brad (Cara) Trede; great-grandchildren, Jesse, Jack, Aiden, Ava, Leah, Bailey, Kassidy, Rory, Piper, McKenna, Jack and...[more]
