YaVonne M. Andersen, 84, of Waterloo, died at Ravenwood Specialty Care on Thursday, October 26, 2017.
YaVonne was born on December 14, 1932 in Andrew, Iowa, daughter of Charles "Bert" and Thelma (Teben) Taylor.
She attended Clinton High School and later earned her GED in 1968.
YaVonne married Carl J. Andersen in 1949 in Sterling, IL; he preceded her in death on October 21, 2002. She most recently worked as a Caregiver & Senior Companion. She had also worked at the Western Hotel in Clinton and as an accountant at Iowa Public Services in Waterloo.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing BINGO and loved to watch sports, especially the Chicago Cubs, Green Bay Packers and Iowa Hawkeyes.
Survived by two sons, Robert Andersen of Waterloo and Mark Andersen of Clinton; a daughter, Kathy (Al) Kuntz of Waterloo; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Robert (Marie) Taylor of Austin, MN and Dick (Sue) Taylor of Houston, TX; and two sisters, Gloria (Marvin) Jorgenson of Maquoketa and Pat Hamstra of Morrison, IL.
