Connie J. Bridger, 66, of Swedesburg, formerly of Ottumwa, died Thursday, October 26, 2017 at University of Iowa Hospitals, Iowa City. She was born June 30, 1951 in Ottumwa, the daughter of Robert Franklin and Vivian Lorraine Doud Flack. In 1971, she married Tom Randall; they divorced. She married John Bridger in 1980; they also divorced.
She was a graduate of Ottumwa High School; received her nursing degree from Southeastern Community College; and took art classes in San Diego. She was a nurse at Jefferson County Hospital, Fairfield; Henry County Health Center and retired from nursing in Bullhead City, AZ. Connie was a free spirit; adventurer; healer; and artist who enjoyed painting, drawing, listening to music, animals, ghosts and spirits, reading, and fell asleep every night listening to the radio show "Coast to Coast". She played guitar and sang to her grandbabies.
Survivors include sons; Jeremy (Brenda) Randall and Joshua Bridger, both of Swedesburg; sisters; Ginger Juhl of Mt. Pleasant and Linda (Michael) Wheaton of Ottumwa; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Stan Flack.

from 3 - 5 PM, Saturday, Nov. 4th at Elliott Chapel, New London. There will be no service. According to her wishes, cremation will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to help with funeral expenses.
