Saugerties - Ronald Wesley Tyler, 70, of Saugerties died Wednesday October 18, 2017 at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie. He was born in Kingston August 29, 1947 a son of the late Arthur and Louise E. Johnson Tyler. He was a lifelong area resident. Ronald had owned and operated Ron's Auto Repair in Saugerties until retiring in 2012. He also was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam era. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed music and gardening. Ronald was talented with his hands, he liked to build things and also enjoyed refurbishing automobiles. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Katherine Krempel Tyler. They had just celebrated their anniversary on September 3, 2017. Also survived by 2 brothers, Douglas Tyler and Wayne Tyler, both of Cottekill, an aunt Shirley Tyler of Rifton, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
