He continued his flight training for the next 6 years at MCA eventually becoming a charter pilot and co pilot then captain for Lifewatch flying a King Air C90. Going on to bigger and better opportunities Randy was hired on as co pilot then captain at Air Midwest flying Fairchild Swearingen Metroliners, British Aircraft Jetstream 31s, Saab 340s, and Beechcraft 1900s. Big jets and big airlines were Randy's goals. He got typed in a B737 then got his first big airline job at Reno Airlines flying as co pilot and working his way up to captain on the McDonald Douglas MD80s. American Airlines purchased Reno in 1999. Moving on to a major airline like American was on Randy's agenda. Randy went on to get typed on the 757/767 and flew the aircraft in South American and the Caribbean until this year when he got a promotion to captain on a 737-800. Randy's memory will live in all of us forever. Randy Clark Young Aviators Memorial Fund Markham Pilots Association trains young kids every weekend to fly RC aircraft. This fund has been established to help young kids learn this hobby and expand their horizons as Randy did at a young age. This fund will provide RC aircraft, radios, related expenses and for the MPA to help communicate their knowledge RC aircraft to the young aviator community.
