Marla B. Thoutt, 76, of Brighton, died on October 29, 2017 at her home. She was born on December 28, 1940 in Winterset, Iowa to George W. and Dorothy I. (Mortice) Addy. She graduated from high school while living in Denver. On November 28, 1965 she married George Thoutt in Denver.
During her lifetime, Marla helped operate the family construction company, Thoutt Construction. Since 2014, she was a member of the Chapel Hill Church of the Nazarene; prior to that a member of the Crossroads Church now known as the Landing Place. Marla was a mother who dedicated her life to raising her family. She had a love for crafting and cross stitch; scrapbooking and photography. Marla enjoyed her flower gardens, murder mystery books and was an avid Nascar fan.
Survivors include her son, David J. (Donna Ellis) of Commerce City; daughters, Kristi (Jeremy Troudt) Thoutt of Brighton, CO, Tami ( Andrew) Derr of Keenesburg, CO, Janelle (David) Brown of Tucson, AZ and Jessicca (Ty) Watson of Crawford, NE; sister Sheryl Cahil of Broomfield, CO; brothers, Mike Addy of Broomfield, CO and Pat (Vickie) Addy of Wheatridge, CO; sister-in-law, Brenda Add...[more]
Addy of Brighton, CO; fifteen grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by both parents; husband George in 2002; three children, George, Jr. and twin boys; and brother, Tom Addy.
Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home, Brighton. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Church of the Nazarene, Brighton, CO. Graveside Service will be on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery, Brighton, CO
