Following retirement, Paul and Sandra moved to Joplin, Missouri to be closer to their grandkids. They also purchased a vacation home at the Lake of the Ozarks, where Paul enjoyed being on the water in his pontoon boat. By no means a quiet retirement, Paul enjoyed traveling to Israel, Italy and scuba diving in Mexico. He also enjoyed antique cars and his 1955 Pontiac Star Chief convertible was his pride and joy.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Maxine; sister, Glenna; brother, Fred and son, Eddie.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra; daughter, Micci; son, Daniel (Holly); grandchildren: Alex, Chelsea, Austin, Ethan, Samantha and Brooklyn; two sisters: Hellen Scott (Tom) and Tommalee DeVos (Harold); brother, Glenn Coggeshell, Jr. (Doris) and cousin, Dwight Mater (Brenda) as well as many nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends.
Funeral services for Dr. Paul Coggeshell, age 77 of Joplin, Missouri, will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mason Funeral Home in Pleasantville, Iowa. Burial, with Military Honors, will follow in the Pleasantville Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 7:00 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family will determine a memorial.
