Rosendale - Michael Drucker, 56, of Rosendale died suddenly in Rome, NY on Monday October 30, 2017. Born January 15, 1961, in Queens, NY. Michael was the youngest child of the late Edward and Eileen (Ahearn) Drucker. Michael is survived by his wife Karen of Rosendale; his brother Dennis and his wife Anne-Marie Vidal of Albuquerque, NM.; his brother William of Rosendale; his brother Robert and his wife Sally White of Arlington, VA.; his sisters Noreen and Coleen of Morris Plains, NJ.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Michael grew up in Woodside, Queens, NY and was a lifelong Mets fan. Michael also loved the Buffalo Bills who he considered to be the ONLY New York football team. He was an active member of Boy Scout Troop 339 and later served in various leadership positions. Mike was a true Boy Scout. He was not only a good citizen but he was truly trustworthy, loyal, friendly, kind, cheerful, thrifty (although never cheap), brave and helpful. He was always prepared to handle anything that life threw his way. He was a firm believer in the rule of the 7 "P's" which he translated as... Proper Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance.

graduated from SUNY Delhi in 1980, and settled in Rosendale. Mike was a union electrician, volunteer firefighter, EMT and a member of the Sons of the American Legion post 1219 in Rosendale/Tillson, NY. Mike volunteered as an EMT for the Marbletown First Aid Unit and was also a Life Member (37 years) and a Director of the Bloomington Fire Company. During his years in the fire company he continually supported the efforts of the Fire Department and Lady's Auxiliary as a firefighter, fundraiser, electrician, and all around whatever needed to be done kind of guy. Michael also played Santa Claus for the Fire Company and the 'Commitment for Kids' toy drive. He loved to help others and give back to his community through these organizations.
Mike and Karen enjoyed going on cruises and vacationing in Maui. Michael was known to work hard and play harder. He was a master jokester and always had a smile on his face and a joke to share. He could find the silver lining in any situation. Mike and Karen also hosted the annual DAAM families' reunion where Mike was the Master of Ceremonies, Grill Master and Omelet King. He was happiest spending time with family and friends.

A Ritual by Sons of the American Legion Post 1219 will be 7:15 PM Friday followed by Firematic Services by the Bloomington Fire Department at 7:30 PM.
Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM Friday at the George J. Moylan Funeral Home Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale, NY. His funeral Service will be 10 AM Saturday at the funeral home. Rev. Nickolas Miles will officiate. Interment will follow in the Rosendale Plains Cemetery.
