Caroline Anne England, 86, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Tuesday, October 31st, 2017 at Genesis East, Davenport. Memorial services in celebration of her life will be held at 9:30 am Saturday, November 4th at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2136 Brady St., Davenport, with Rev. Peter Marty officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 pm Friday at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport. Caroline Anne Reed England was born November 3, 1930 in Brashear, Missouri. She competed in drama competitions, played the clarinet and piano, loved to sing harmony, and take part in the mischief of small town life. She met the love her life, Lloyd when attending Kirksville State Teacher's College, and they were married in 1950. Her college studies were put aside as she worked in a hospital and taught home economics to support Lloyd when he completed medical school, raise her children, and make a fantastic home for her family. She returned to college as a "mature student" and earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Marycrest College. g, and spending time with her cat. Her greatest accomplishments were doing her very best to be a good daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter Mary Beth (Russ) Dircks, son Dan (Carolyn), grandchildren Zach (Lindsey), Heidi (Patrick), Chelsea, Susan, and Katie, and great grandchildren Gavin and Finn. She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents. Caroline will be missed by many.
