d ultimately their marriage was dissolved. George heard the call of his country once again and he enlisted in United States Air Force. He served in the Korean War, while stationed in Tennessee, Junior met the love of his life, Ruth Maude Shelton. They were united in Holy Matrimony in 1956. Their story book romance ended in 1991, when Ruth lost her battle with cancer. After so many years, as fate would have it, George was reunited with Alma E. Shepherd, the mother of his beloved son, Robert Mitchell Wilson. Alma and George were united and married, to this union he was blessed with more children to love; Joyce, Valerie, Mark and Kelvin. This loving couple basked in blissful matrimony until Alma's untimely death in 2012. George had a few nicknames he was affectionately called "Junior", by friends and family, "Uncle Daddy" by his nieces and nephews, "Candyman", by the children at church and "Chief", by his co-workers. George enjoyed Football, Golf, Fishing, Driving the Church Bus and of course making sure everyone else was taken care. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Frank Wilson, daughters, Mary Wilson, Joyce Murphy, siblings; James L. Wilson, Ivery Reese and Curtis Ford. George leaves to cherish his loving memories children; Robert (Betty) Milton, Valerie (Keith) McLemore, Mark Gray, Kelvin Gray, his caregivers and devoted niece and nephew, Angel Wilson and Garfield Ford, loving and supportive god-daughter, Phy'lise Graves, grandchildren; Cameron Wilson, Kyron McLemore, Nico Hale, Keyon Gray, Nikita Booner, Taylor Navide, Marlon Gray, India Backs, Tarteshna Danover, Deandre Smith, great-grandchildren; Lil Cameron Wilson, Zion King Wilson, Huayra Wilson, sister, Rebbie Thomas and a host of great-great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
