, invented the Bumblebee Self Propelled Disc. In 1994, Kermco DeHaai became a reality with the invention of the Reel Tite Fence Stretcher. He was a member of the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Prairie City Odd Fellows and the Monroe American Legion. He loved to collect almost everything, some of his favorites were arrowheads and rocks. He also love his dogs and he and Frieda had at least one until they moved to Pella. Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Frieda; a son Jay (Brenda) DeHaai; a daughter, Jennie (Arvin) Van Waardhuizen; four grandchildren, Alan (Vicki) DeHaai, Jayson (Kristi) DeHaai, Janine (Jeff) Bauer and David (Lynn) Deal; eight grandchildren, Zachary, Dalton, Matthew, Jessica, Ashley, Dawson, Cohen and Norah; and a sister-in-law, Rosalee DeHaai. Preceding Kermit in death were his parents, and siblings, Lavern, Dick, Jeanette Blackledge and Eva Cowman.
