Kenneth A. Schlidt, 46, of Keenesburg passed away on November 5, 2017 in Brighton. He was born on December 23, 1970 in Brighton, Colorado to Kenneth L. and Joan M. (Page) Baumgartner. He was a 1989 graduate of Florence High School. Ken married Rene Rogers on October 12, 1991 in Commerce City.
Ken grew up in the Brighton and Roggen areas. He also lived in Bennett, Fort Lupton, Arizona and since 2011 resided in Keenesburg. He was a local, self-employed truck driver for Cross Roads Trucking driving for Bitter Sweet Turf Farm, Kramers Turf Farm, Robertson Brick, Stone Works, PaveStone and EnviroTech.
Ken played football for Florence High School and continued his love of the game through the Denver Broncos where he enjoyed attending games. He was a hunter and enjoyed outings with his friend Rick. He loved any type of music and was an animal lover, especially for his dogs. A hardworking and loving husband, he truly loved supporting his family.

Preceded in death by his father, Kenneth in 2013 and step-dad, David Schlidt in 2009.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.; Funeral Service will be on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. both at Tabor-Rice Funeral Home of Brighton. Interment will follow at Heart of the Plains Cemetery in Roggen, Colorado.
