Margaret Philomena Weigert, 85, of West Burlington, died at 3:10 PM Monday, November 6, 2017, at her home.
Born June 23, 1932, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Thomas J. and Alta Miller Corso. On August 28, 1954, she married Stanley Eugene Weigert in Burlington. He died on August 21, 2007.
Margaret sold Tupperware for 20 years and had a craft store at the mall for several years.
She was a lifelong member of the Divine Mercy Parish-SS Mary & Patrick Catholic Church in West Burlington and a member of the Legion of Mary. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, flower arrangements, sewing in her younger years, cooking, spending the winter months down in Mission Texas, going to Branson, and traveling.
Survivors include her daughter, Marla Jo (Sue Dolphin) Weigert of Belmont, NC; son, Steven E. Weigert of West Burlington; brother, John Corso of Burlington; sister-in-law, Bernita (Sammy) Stevenson of Gladstone, IL; and several nieces, nephews & cousins.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one son, David John Weigert.

The Funeral Mass of the Resurrection for Mrs. Weigert will be 10:00 AM Monday, November 13, 2017, at Divine Mercy Parish-SS Mary & Patrick Catholic Church with Rev. Father Bill Roush as the Celebrant. Music will be provided by the Des Moines County Resurrection Choir. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Memorials have been established for Great River Hospice, Divine Mercy Parish - SS Mary & Patrick Catholic Church, and St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.
