Bonnie Lee Roberton, 80, of Fort Lupton, Colorado, passed away on November 6, 2017 in Greeley, Colorado.
Bonnie was born in Ashland, Oregon in May of 1937, to David and Retha (Reed) Owens. She attended schools in the area and graduated from Lincoln High School in Seattle, Washington.
In 1968, Bonnie married Sterling Roberton in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Together they purchased an acreage property in Weld County, Colorado, in a sub-division known as Aristocrat Ranchettes. They made a home there before moving to Hawaii in 1987, where Sterling was employed as a millwright. Sterling passed in 1992 and Bonnie moved back to the Fort Lupton area to be with her mother and sister. During her time in Fort Lupton, Bonnie was engaged in many different activities, Bonnie owned "The Smart Set" beauty parlor in Fort Lupton as well as a sewing business with her sister Anita, where they specialized in alterations, custom sewing and sewing lessons. Bonnie was a quilter, as well as a member of the Foxy Quilters and the Colorado Quilters Counsel (CQC). She will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
