Born on September 25, 1919 at Sac City, Iowa, Marjorie Ann was the daughter of Thomas and Margaret (Sullivan) Brinkman. She spent her younger years in the Sac City area where she attended school. Midge taught country school in Nebraska before moving to the Carroll area. Leo and Marjorie were united in marriage on August 19, 1948 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Carroll. The couple made their home near Carroll where her husband farmed and Midge raised their two children. In 1979 Midge and Leo moved to Carroll. She enjoyed playing bridge, swimming at the Rec, baking with her grandchildren and eating sweets. Midge also enjoyed her travels with her sister Mary Jane and sharing many stories with her good friend Toddy McIntire.
Midge's family would like to thank the entire staff at the Village at Legacy Point for the exceptional care she received while living there the past five years.
Midge is survived by her children: Pam (Jim) Proehl of Johnston, and Mark (Kathy) Hulsing of Clive; 8 grandchildren, as well as numerous great-grandchildren; other extended relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Leo; and her siblings: Phyllis Becker, Mary Jane Peterson, and Jim Brinkman.
