Clifford Harold Boehm, age 89, of Loveland, Colorado, passed away on Monday, November 6, 2017. He was born along with fraternal twin brother Richard, to Harold and Kisten (Sunby) Boehm on September 30, 1928 in Wisconsin. The twins had many adventures together early in life, some in organized sports, and enjoyed a life-long close relationship.
Clif graduated from Milton College, in Milton, Wisconsin with a Major in Mathematics followed later by graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin and University of Colorado. Clif volunteered to serve in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. His service duties included aeronautical research and armament officer, and he achieved the rank of First Lieutenant.
In 1956, Clif married the love of his life Orpha Johnson. Clif and Orpha celebrated 58 years of marriage and raised four children in both Milton, Wisconsin and later Loveland, Colorado, where the family moved in 1973. duct development engineering work at Parker Pen, managing officer for Milton Savings and Loan Association, City Clerk-Treasurer for the City of Milton and owner/operator of a hardware store. After moving to Colorado, Clif enjoyed much success as a purchasing agent for Colorado State University, where he retired after 18 years of outstanding service.
Clif was always fond of having won grand prize in the 1942 Helen Mears art contest. He invested much of his spare time in building two homes for his family and helping his children and family with construction projects. He enjoyed following the careers of his children. He stayed in touch with the happenings in Milton, Wisconsin being a long-term subscriber to the Milton Courier. Clif was a loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs through thick and thin and greatly enjoyed the Cubs 2016 World Series championship. Clif was preceded in death by wife Orpha and is survived by brother Richard (Carol); daughters, Diane (Gregg) Roeder and Susan (Kenneth) Spurlock; sons, Robert (Pam) and David (Mharlie); grandchildren, Stephanie (Kris) Vondy, Kimberly Roeder, Katie (Kris) Meda, Jeffrey (Karley) Fedder, Bryce Fedder, Jennifer (Anthony) LaSalle, Kayla, and Princess; and great grandchildren Kaden, Audrey, Gunner, Zachary, and Piper; and numerous nieces and nephews. Clif was preceded in death by grandson Joshua, great grandson Camden, and great granddaughter Rachel.
A memorial service followed by a celebration of Clif's life will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017, at 10:00 AM, Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 2500 N. Garfield Ave., Loveland, Colorado.
