In the fall of 1938 she met John Howard Coburn at the annual "Tomato Days" dance in Fort Lupton. They fell in love and were married August 27, 1939. They lived in a small house on Howard's parent's rented farm until they purchased their own farm in 1943. Clemmy was always proud of her husband's ability to farm and raise a good crop and animals, saying "Howard could raise anything!". Her experience preparing and serving food in her early years served her well as she provided many tasty meals for harvest crews and family gatherings throughout their years on their farm. Through the years, Clemmy was always there for friends and family who needed help because of illness or hardship.
Clementine loved children and cared for her nieces, Nancy and Diane Midcap, who lived on the next farm to the west, while her sister in law, Leah (Coburn) Midcap went to school to finish her teacher's training. She was always happy to care for the children of friends and family through the years.
Clementine and Howard were blessed with two children, their son, George Howard and daughter, Marilyn Joy. When George started college in 1962, Clemmy began to look for a job to help pay college expenses. Her first job was at the Fort Lupton Library, a year or so later she obtained a job at Gates Cyclo Egg Plant in Brighton, inspecting and preparing the eggs for packaging.
She lost her beloved Howard in the spring of 1971 and moved to Longmont in 1973 where she served as a caregiver to older widows who needed assistance and also cleaned homes for a few families. She was very blessed by the care and friendship of her husband's cousin, Lucile Dickens & family during those years.
September 2, 1977 she married Loy Wyscaver Fitch from Brighton, Colorado. They purchased a home in Longmont and enjoyed several years of travel, dancing & enjoying their families together. Loy passed away September 5, 1987.
A few months later, Clementine met Marvin Reckling of Longmont. Though they never married, they were close companions, traveling and sharing their lives, meals together and family time for 25 years. Marvin passed away on September 14, 2014.
The loss of her son, George on July 4, 2008 caused her great sorrow. She also lost her oldest grandson, James Michael Bangert on June 11, 2014.
