Survived by one daughter, Donna Glover Mills of Fredericksburg VA. 3 granddaughters, Sgt A. Erin Mills Bruss, U.S. Army and husband Paul of of JBLM Tacoma WA. Audrey Mills Koski and husband Leo of Cottontown TN. Julianne M. Arnold of Fredericksburg VA and Savannah GA. And one great-granddaughter, Remington Claire Koski.
Nancy was a resident of Fredericksburg Virginia for 46 years until moving with her granddaughter Erin in 2015 to Clarksville TN.
While in Fredericksburg, Nancy worked for The Free Lance Star newspaper as a carrier for almost 30 years. She loved flowers and gardening. She always had large beautiful flower beds of rare and antique Iris, that were filled with birds in the spring when the flowers were in bloom. She was a nature lover and she passed this love on to her granddaughters.
She was born and raised in Covington TN where she was the youngest daughter of Robert and Gracie Wages. She had 2 sisters and 6 brothers.
Nancy was baptized Church of Christ and relied on her faith in God to help her through life. She worked hard everyday of her life, both physically and emotionally. She has passed on to her daughter and granddaughters, her ability to be resilient, for this was her strongest attribute. Her greatest pride was of her daughter and granddaughters whose successes in life was of great importance to her.
She always insisted they say, "I will try" and never say "I can't". She taught them the importance of good "southern" manners and to be gracious. Her family was her greatest legacy.
She is and always will be loved and missed.

Her memorial service will be held on Jan 13th, 10:0am at Laurel Hill Memorial Park and Cemetery, 10127 Plank Road Spotsylvania, VA 22553. Internment immediately following the service.
