Wayne B. Hill passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 9, 2017.


Wayne was born in Foster City, Mich., on March 18, 1936, to Oliver and Alma Hill. He was loved as a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and steadfast friend. He was married to Lupe Hill for forty two loving years. He enjoyed many years traveling the world with his beloved wife. Wayne enjoyed dancing, gambling, and was an amazing chef. He also served in the U.S. Army. Wayne played on the U.S. Army football team throughout his tour of duty. He also served as a law enforcement officer in Kingsford, Mich..

After moving to Texas, he was employed by General Dynamics. After many years he owned his own construction company and was a master craftsman. Wayne was affiliated with and was a past member of St. Andrews Catholic Church, The Elks Lodge, and The Moose Lodge.

Worth, Sylvia Scott and husband, Campbell of Plano, Debbie Campbell and husband, Mike of Highland Village; brothers, Kenneth Hill and wife, Havela of Hurst, Larry Hill and wife, Sherry of Urbandale, Iowa; grandchildren, Michelle Byrum of Iron Mountain, Mich., Lesley Lusby and husband, Albert of Amarillo, Hunter Scott and wife, Erica of Ennis, Stephen Campbell and wife, Stephanie of Lewisville, Easton Scott and wife, Melissa of Whitesboro; eight great-grand children; several nieces, and one nephew.
