Mrs. Jean Marie Gallup, age 92, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017. She was born in Muskegon, Michigan on August 24, 1925 to Arthur & Dorothy (Hower) Sundell and married Gerald Gallup on April 16, 1948. Mrs. Gallup had been employed at Brunswick during World War II where she received a pool cue from professional pool player, Willie Mosconi. Jean wrote letters to GI's during the war, as well as, learning how to play pool. She was a member of Samuel Lutheran Church, a life time member of the Vikings and was a member of a Pinochle club for over 50 years with her husband. Jean was happy in her life with her family and enjoyed bowling, golfing and traveling to Arizona to spend time with her granddaughters.

Son, Thomas Gallup of Muskegon; daughter, Susan (Barton) Godfrey of AZ; grandchildren, Lindsey & Katie Hoyle; great granddaughter, Adilyn Jones; brother-in-law, Robert (Terry) Gallup; many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald in 2000; son, David in 1961; daughter Patricia Gallup in 2014.
