Maxine Ide 74, of Greeley, CO passed away November 12, 2017 in Greeley. Maxine was raised on her parent's ranch near Wray, CO where she graduated from high school. She married and had four children that she raised as a single mom. Maxine worked as a computer programmer for s Monfort of Colorado, and retired from JBS Swift after more than 40 years. Maxine enjoyed travel and exploring the country; she loved the mountains and camping, and she passed this passion down to her children and grandchildren. She spent time visiting ghost towns, old cemeteries, and historical small town America. She was also a strong believer in environmental causes. Maxine was the heart of the family to who all turned for support and guidance, she will be greatly missed. Maxine is survived by a sister, Mary Harris of Greeley, and a brother, Gary Brown of Oklahoma, four children: Clinton Ide of Gilcrest, Cathy Ream of Oregon, Curtis Ide of North Carolina, Christine Ide of Greeley, eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
