Patricia A. Bloomer, 75, of Highland, NY passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, November 13th. She was born February 26, 1942 in the Bronx, NY the daughter of the late John Brady and Helen Fitzgerald. On January 17, 1970 she married the love of her life, John "Duke" Bloomer. Her husband predeceased her in 2011 and she is once again reunited with him looking down on all her loved ones. Pat loved being around the kids and the best times of her later years were spent as the head cafeteria aide for the Highland Central Schools. During these last few years, she showed amazing courage and strength battling many ailments but never letting it slow her bravery or her character, as she was always there for family and friends.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Karyn Sauers and husband Darin of Highland, NY, Susan Bloomer of Highland, NY, and her son John Bloomer and wife Nicole of Raleigh, NC, along with the loves of her life, her grandchildren; Ashleigh, Kyleigh, Jonathan, and Alyssa. She is also survived by her sisters Veronica "Ronnie" Alamia and Dorothy Komasa, and special cousin Maureen Corallo, along with several nieces and nephew...[more]

Calling hours will take place Thursday, November 16th from 2pm-4pm & 7pm-9pm at the Michael Torsone Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 38 Main Street, Highland, NY 12528. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, November 17th 10am at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church in Highland, followed by burial in Lloyd Cemetery next to her husband.
