The Maneen Family will greet friends and family members Wednesday from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, 27 Smith Ave, Kingston, NY.
The funeral procession will form Thursday 9 AM at the funeral home.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, November 16, by his nephew Father Edmund Castronovo, at Saint Joseph's Church, 242 Wall Street, Kingston, NY at 10 AM.
Burial will follow in Hurley Cemetery, Zandhoek Road, Hurley, NY.
Anthony, "Tony", James Maneen passed away in Rye, New Hampshire, surrounded by members of his family on Saturday, November 11, 2017.
He was born on March, 20, 1928 in Frankfort New York to Anthony and Vida Maneen. Tony proudly served in the United States Navy from 1945 - 1948 at Midway Island in the Pacific. He attended Ithaca College and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education; as well as a Masters Degree in Counseling from Oneonta State University. his life; Rosalie Jean Melfe, also of Frankfort New York. Tony was dedicated Kingston High School Guidance Counselor for many years, where he made lifelong friendships with staff, teachers and students.
Tony's special interests were sports of all kinds but his all time favorites were football and golf. Tony, Rosalie and all the Maneen family enjoyed Wiltwyck Country Club for many years where he could play golf ! In the fall season; Tony could be watching all the latest Notre Dame Football games with friends and family !
He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Rosalie Jean ; sons, Anthony Gerard (Kay), Alex John "AJ" (Theresa ) Andrea Barry (Peter), Mary Elizabeth Kazarosian ( Dr. Mark), and Leslie Ann Walsh (John). Tony is also survived by four grandsons; Collin Maneen, Jack and Ian Walsh and Paul Anthony Kazarosian, in addition to many loving nieces, nephews and other cousins.
