Martin David Lewistown Martin E. David, 74, of Lewistown, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 7:12 AM, at the Graham Hospital in Canton. He was born on September 6, 1940 in Canton to Charles and Maxine (Wilcoxen) David. They preceded him in death. He married Lyndia Lane on September 21, 1974 in Liverpool. She survives. Also surviving are their children Greg David of Iowa, Kevin David of Canton, Karl David of Liverpool, Marty David of Marietta, Jerry David of Imperial Beach California, Charles (Denise) Chamberlain of Virginia, Christine (Tim) VanMiddlesworth of Canton, Karen Barnett of Canton, one brother Ed David of Havana, two sisters Ruby Hayner of Virginia Beach, Myrna Fleming of Lewistown, seventeen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Also preceding him in death are two children Linda Sue David, Dannielle Bohn and one grandson. Matt Hawf. Martin served in the US Army. He later worked for International Harvester Company retiring on July 31, 1993 from the Indianapolis Foundry. He worked for MSD as a security guard for several years after his retirement. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday April 17, 2015, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., with a masonic service at 7 on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial, with military honors, will be at Salem-Wilcoxen Cemetery in rural St. David. Memorials may be made to the Bushnell VFW.
