Ron cherished the time he spent with his family, he was a true family patriarch who will remain in the hearts of many. Ron enjoyed golfing, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes-football and basketball, Chicago Bears and doing crossword puzzles. Surviving Ron is his wife of 46 years, Diane; children, Angela (Rob Penningroth) Chambliss of Clarence and Timothy (Jill) Chambliss of Tipton; sisters, Shirley Grunder of Muscatine and Patricia (Donald) Parker of Cedar Rapids; brother, Robert (Lois Greenwald) Chambliss of Muscatine; grandchildren, Colin and Carson Chambliss; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Melva Mueller; special fur-companion, Sophie. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Janet, brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Kay Chambliss, brother-in-law Marlyn Grunder, sister-in-law Judith Chambliss, father-in-law Ransom Mueller.
