ery good bowler, but would never boast. She loved boating, tennis, volleyball, racquet ball, swimming, and was very competitive in all sports.
Surviving are her brothers and sisters-in-law, Bea (Richard) Soens, of Dubuque, Rev. Joseph E. McDermott SVD, Patrick (Patricia) McDermott, both of Epworth, IA, Michael McDermott, of Farley, Linus (Shirley) McDermott, of Cascade, IA, Maureen McDermott, of Manchester, MO, and Madeline McDermott, of Menominee, IL.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law, Ruth and Ambrose McDermott; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Mary Joan and Marvin "Jim" Ernst, Helen Ann and Donald Kraemer, Frances (David) Raab, Lois (McQuillen) McDermott, Jerome McDermott, Anthony McDermott, and Chuck McDermott.
The Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 John F. Kennedy Road is assisting the family.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Cao and his nurse Melissa for their compassionate care and also to Charlotte, Diane and the angles from Hospice of Dubuque for their love given to Peggy.
