Charles "Chuck" Vonesh, age 75, of Grand Haven passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017. Chuck was born March 13, 1942 to the late Charles J. & Eleanore G. (Remes) Vonesh in Berwyn, Illinois. He married Ellen Paulukonis on June 21, 1981 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Chuck graduated from Indiana University School of Business where he was active in Kappa Delta Rho Social Fraternity and the Singing Hoosiers. Chuck had a 25 year career with Motorola as a business man and was owner/operator of Electrical Concepts Inc. and Duffy Enterprises. He served in leadership roles for various community groups; serving as United Way Chairperson, Grand Haven Downtown Development Authority Board Member, Grand Haven Rotary Club President & District Governor, Kandu Board of Directors, West Suburban YMCA Board Member, Western Springs Jaycees, Indian Guides & Princess Plantation in Florida, Canadian Power Squadron, volunteer soccer coach, Dock Master of Grand Haven Municipal Marina, member of Riviera Yacht Club and Signapore Yacht Club. h Carolina, Brad Vonesh of Aurora, Colorado and their mother, Lynda Moelman; one granddaughter, Tyler Pullara; sister, Pat (Don) Chambers of Chicago; sister-in-law, Jane (Randy) Barnes; nephews, Matthew (Heather) Chambers, Jason (Kristen) Barnes, Adam (Lisa) Barnes and great-nieces, Emma & Kaitlin Barnes. Chuck was preceded in death by his nephew, Matthew Barnes. The Celebration of Life for Chuck will be held on Monday, November 27 at 6:00 p.m. at Klaassen Family Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Swihart Jr. officiating. Visitation will be one hour before and after the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the Grand Haven Rotary Club, NOAH Project or the Grand Haven Community Foundation Greatest Needs Fund.
