Rodney L. Hood, 64, of Burlington, died at 4:40 p.m. Thursday, November 16, 2017, at Great River Medical Center.
Born December 21, 1952 he was the son of Orley and Mary Bennett Hood.
Rodney worked for Blue Bird Bus Company in Mt. Pleasant before it closed.
He enjoyed watching television, playing video games with his son Tony, Going to Catfish Bend Casino, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include one son, Tony (Brandi) Hood of Burlington; two daughters, Kim (Paul) Maedl of Mt. Pleasant, and Rachelle (Larry) Ashing of Burlington; five grandsons, Kaden, Kamden, and Kallyn Hood, Kyle and Blake Ashing; three sisters, Mary Hood, Barb Hood and Emma Hood Ireland; two brothers, Jim Hood and Louie Gibbs, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter Pailee Hood, and one brother Tom Hood.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Cremation has been entrusted to Lunning Chapel.
