Michael Boyle

Michael Lee Boyle, 18, of Keokuk, died at 4:00 PM Sunday, September 1, 2002 at University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City, Iowa. He was born August 8, 1984 in Keokuk, Iowa, the son of Steven Lee Allsup and Gina Boyle. He had lived most of his life in Keokuk but had lived in Ohio for a time, returning to Keokuk in June 2001. While in Ohio he had worked at Taylor Creek Lumber. He was a former member of FHA in Ohio and played basketball, football and participated in track. He loved to ride his bicycle. He is survived by his mother, Gina Boyle of Keokuk; a brother, Keith Boyle of Keokuk; two sisters, Stephanie and Breanna Boyle of Keokuk; maternal grandmother, Sandra O'Shea and her husband, Andrew, of Keokuk; paternal grandmother, Shirley Allsup of Keokuk; paternal grandfather, Walter Allsup of Ohio; two great-grandmothers, Ida Stamper and Marie Hall of Keokuk; special friend, Melissa Pratt of Fairfield, Iowa; maternal uncles, Nick O'Shea and Pat O'Shea of Keokuk; maternal aunt, Michelle Allsup of Ohio; paternal uncles, Jeff Allsup of Ohio and Kenny Allsup and his wife, Dara, of Ohio; paternal aunts, Marie Allsup, Lori Hood and Julie Wrieden of Keokuk; numerous nieces, nephews an...[more]

ousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Allsup; maternal grandfather, Timothy Boyle; niece, Danielle Wrieden; and an uncle. Funeral services were held September 5, 2002, at DeJong's Funeral Home with Pastor Sylvia Tillman officiating. Burial was in Scandinavian Cemetery in rural Keokuk. A memorial has been established in his name.
