Wesley W. Rose

Wesley Willard Rose, 92, of Keokuk, Iowa, died Thursday, January 9, 2003 at 11:10 A.M. at River Hills Village in Keokuk, Iowa. Wesley Rose was born on March 16, 1910 in Rushville, Illinois. He was the son of Omar and Bessie Busby Rose. He married Evelyn Long on July 13, 1929 in Keokuk. She preceded him in death on February 19, 1988. He married Hyla Bice on October 11, 1988 in Pikeville, Tennessee and she preceded him in death on September 19, 1993. He later married Elma Hageman and she also preceded him in death. He moved to Rock Island, Illinois in 1935 where he was employed at International Harvester. He moved to Keokuk in 1940 and was employed at Kemo Foundry. He then went to work at The Hubinger Company in 1943 and was employed for twenty-eight years. He was retired for thirty years and also farmed for forty years. He attended Crossview Fellowship Church. eokuk, Iowa; one daughter, Esther Glasgow and her husband, Fred, of Florida; twenty-one grandchildren; fifty-three great-grandchildren; thirty great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Ethel Wilson, of Keokuk, Iowa; one brother, Frank Rose, of Keokuk, Iowa; and one daughter-in-law, Virginia Rose, of Keokuk, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives; one son, Paul Rose; an infant daughter, Cynthia M. Rose; seven sisters; and one brother. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
