Jeanne Vogel

Jeanne Rita Vogel, 76, of Keokuk, died Sunday morning, January 19, 2003 at River Hills Village after an extended illness. Jeanne Vogel was born on April 26, 1926. She was the daughter of Ray and Grace McNally. She attended St. Peter's Schools, Quincy Business College, and was a member of the Catholic community. She married Herbert J. Vogel, Jr. on November 17, 1952. He preceded her in death on August 10, 1974. Survivors include three children, Mark Vogel and his wife, Becky of Keokuk, Iowa, Dyan Vogel Boyd and her husband, Jim, of Snellville, Georgia, and Neal Vogel and his wife, Ellyn, of Evanston, Illinois; four grandsons, Tim McGovney, Alex and Shamus Boyd, and Ethan Vogel, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and a brother, Leo McNally. There were no services held. She donated her body to the University of Iowa Medical College for research. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials in her name be made to River Hills Village of Keokuk. [more]
