Arthur Scott Chatelain, Sr.

Arthur Scott Chatelain, Sr., 56, of Hamilton, Illinois, died early Thursday morning, February 13, 2003 at his home. He was born December 31, 1946, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Arthur W. and Lois Sherwood Chatelain. He married Kathy Yarrington on May 5, 2001, at Chatfield Lake near Keokuk, Iowa. She survives. He moved to the Keokuk area in the early 1980's, and then moved to Hamilton in December of 1999. He worked as a CNA at several area nursing homes and had last worked at Hancock County Nursing Home in Carthage. His fellow co-workers had said that he was the most gentle, caring, and compassionate persons that they had worked with. He was of the protestant faith. He loved to work on jigsaw puzzles and enjoyed all sports. He is survived by his wife, Kathy of Hamilton, Illinois; daughter, Tamra Chatelain and her fiancé, Jack Mortimer, of Keokuk; son, Arthur Scott Chatelain and wife, Laura, of La Belle, Missouri; five grandchildren, Crystal Flores, Christine Chatelain, Tiffaney Mortimer, George and Joseph Chatelain; his father, Arthur W.
