Thomas Johnson "Tom" Clark, 71, of Hamilton, Illinois, died Friday night, July 18, 2003, at his home.
He was born January 2, 1932 in Peoria, Illinois, the son of Robert Kingsbury and Marjorie Johnsaon Clark. He married Nancy Mae Ames on August 20, 1960 in Peoria, Illinois. She survives.
He attended Knox College and served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a heavy equipment salesman for 20 years and then operated a tire store in Macomb, Illinois. Beginning in 1986, he was the owner-operator of The Fort Worth Barbeque in Hamilton, Illinois. He was of the Presbyterian faith and was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy of Hamilton, Illinois; three children, Eric A. Clark of Hamilton, Marjorie Elizabeth Clark of Southlake, Texas and Kenneth J. Clark and his wife, Judith, of Montrose, Iowa; four grandchildren, Sabrina and Michelle Clark of Germany and Sarah Elizabeth and Ethan Thomas Clark of Montrose, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.
His body was cremated.
A private family inurnment with military rites was held at Keokuk National Cemetery in Keokuk, Iowa.
