Margaret "Maggie" Louise Radel Glasscock, 70, of Keokuk, died Monday, July 28, 2003 at 2:35 P.M. at her home in Keokuk, Iowa. Margaret Glasscock was born on October 18, 1932 in Keokuk, Iowa. She was the daughter of Orville W. and Mary M. Greaves Radel. She married Clyde L. Glasscock on October 8, 1949 in Burlington, Iowa. He survives. She was a lifelong resident of Keokuk and had been employed at Shellor Globe for twelve years and also as a cook for the Keokuk Community School District. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Keokuk and held the positions of Deaconess, Sunday school teacher, Chairman of Transportation, and Chairman of the Hostess Committee. She belonged to the American Baptist Women Organization. She enjoyed her family and friends. She loved to garden, cook, crochet, and read. Survivors include her husband, Clyde L. Glasscock, of Keokuk, Iowa; four children Kurt Glasscock and his wife, Grace, of Keokuk, Sally Brotherton and her husband, Gary, of Keokuk, Mike Glasscock and his wife, Toni, of Keokuk, and Suzy Glasscock of Ft. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepmother, Lillian Radel; and a brother, Orville J. Radel. Services were Thursday, July 31, 2003 at DeJong's Funeral Home in Keokuk with Reverend Dale Thomas officiating. Burial was in Hickory Grove Cemetery north of Keokuk. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Keokuk of to the donor's choice.
