JoAnn Mae Houston, 77, of Westport, Washington died peacefully at Manor Care Locust Street, Davenport. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Washington State. Per her wishes Joann was cremated.
JoAnn was born in 1939 in Yakima, Washington, the daughter of Floyd and Alice (Bennett) Lindsay. She married Robert Houston in 1985. He preceded her in death in 2001. JoAnn was active in several organizations including Eastern Star, Amaroth, and VFW Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed arts and crafts, shopping and traveling. She especially enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas. Her one true joy in her life was owning and operating The Knotty Pine Tavern in Westport, Washington.
She is lovingly remembered by her son Scott (Jillian) Geary, Davenport, IA, 4 daughters, Bonnie (Robert) Duncan, Anchorage, AK, Pamela (Justin) Maddox, Spokane Valley, WA, Brenda (Timothy) Kemp, Edwardsville, IL, and Debra Vail, Vancouver, WA. 3 sisters, Marianne (Bill) DuBay, Vancouver, WA, Barbara (Larry) Andrews, Woodburn, OR, and Carroll Rayson, Clackamas, OR.
She was preceded in death by her husband, and her parents.
