Isaac Edward "Pops" Tate, Jr., 62, died Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at his residence in Keokuk, Iowa. Isaac Tate was born on April 12, 1941 in Lewis County, Missouri. He was the son of Isaac and Liza Mariata Dade Tate, Sr. He had lived in Davenport, Iowa for forty years and had been employed as a welder. He had lived in Keokuk the last two years. He served with the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and bingo. Survivors include eight children, Barbara Ann Hatfield of Keokuk, Iowa, Ray Anthony Tate of Alexandria, Missouri, Emma Marie Tate, Valerie Elaine Tate, Isaac Junior Tate, Wallace O. Crouch Tate, Vanessa Tate, and Anthony Isaac Tate; one sister, Katherine M. Hodges, of Canton, Missouri; five grandchildren, Colby Tate, Jordan Tate, Tyler Hatfield, Erika Hatfield, and Layke Hatfield; nieces; nephews; and friends of the family including Ellen Tate of Keokuk. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wilbur and Isaac's twin Julian; and two sisters, Mary Lou and Doris Marie.
