in banking, education, sports reporting and piano playing. Pete was then married to Rosemary Biedebach whom he cared for until her death in 1997. In the early 2000's Pete moved back to Pella to care for his mother, Vera Andreas, who passed away in 2007. He then married his long-time friend, Maria Theresita Ruiz, in 2006. On Tuesday, November 21, 2017, Pete passed away at the Hospice of Pella Comfort House in Pella at the age of 77 years. Pete is survived by his wife, Maria; his sons: Jon Andreas of Chino, California and Marc Andreas and his wife, Shelby (Nunnikhoven) Andreas of Randville, Michigan; seven grandchildren: Adeline, Connor, Lovely, Elly, Jonah, Ivy, and Willow Andreas; two step-sons: John Biedebach of Dallas, Texas and Brian Biedebach of Castaic, California, a step-daughter, Sharon Biedebach Harty of Dallas, Texas and their families; his two younger brothers and their wives: G. Allen Andreas, Jr. and Toni of Adventura, Florida, M. Stephen Andreas and Judy of Miami, Florida; along with several nephews and nieces. Pete was preceded in death by his son, David Glenn; his wife, Rosemary Biedebach Andreas, his mother Vera Andreas, and his father Glenn A. Andreas who died in 1993. Pete was known as "Piano Pete" during his many years performing for older audiences in California and Iowa. As a lifelong Christian, Pete was an inspiration to many people as he was known for his extreme generosity and admission of his own faults while helping others face and overcome their challenges.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 11:00 am at Second Reformed Church, Pella, Iowa. Visitation will be Monday from 9:30 am until the time of service in The Gathering Space at Second Reformed Church.
