Keith Robert Long, 93, of Port Charlotte, FL passed away on Nov. 1, 2017.
Keith was born on February 13, 1924 to the late Lawrence and Grace Long in Hammond, IN.
He was married to Eleanor on August 25, 1951 in Highland, IN.
He had a career in transportation for General American Transportation Company.
Keith was a member of Navy serving as a radio operator on a supply plane based in Hawaii during WWII. He had a passion for his family, flying the American flag and his hats. Keith was an active member of the Wintergarden Presbyterian Church for over 25 years where he enjoyed volunteering his services wherever needed. He also loved gardening and keeping his yards in tip-top shape.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years of marriage Eleanor H. Long: his children, Larry and his wife, Helena Long; grandchildren, Allison Parr, Damian Long, Amanda Pool and Kristen Kimson; great grandchildren; Jackson, Ansley, Eva and Grace Parr, and Marina Kimson. He was preceded in death by his son Ronald Long.
