Marvin Wayne Lindner, 80, of rural Keokuk, died at 4:00 AM Sunday, June 13, 2004, at his home on the farm, which had been his family's for over 100 years.
He was born November 21, 1923, the son of Leonora Berthold Lindner and Milton Lindner. On December 23, 1956, he married Dorothy Nadine Bentzinger. She survives. He operated a service station for many years and later was a production manager at Sheller-Globe. He retired in 1986.
He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He was an active member of the Farm Bureau, a Jackson Township Trustee, and served many years on the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Department. He was a 50-year member of the Elks Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Nadine Lindner of Keokuk; two sons, Michael Lindner of McKinney, Texas and Douglas Lindner and his wife, Lori, of Solon, Iowa; two grandchildren, Kearce and Kale Lindner of Solon; and one sister, Miriam Lodge and her husband, William, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonora and Milton Lindner, and a brother, Wilbur Lindner.
