H. Raymond Turner

H. Raymond Turner, 70, of Keokuk, formerly of Ft. Madison, died at 4:15 AM Wednesday, June 16, 2004, at his home. He was born August 13, 1933 in Jacksonville, Illinois, to Vera Lartalla Turner. He married Sue Feser Boyd on August 23, 1971 at Ft. Madison, Iowa. She survives. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Before moving to Keokuk in 1987, he lived in Ft. Madison where he was self-employed doing auto body and fender work. He was a past member of the American Legion and V.F.W. in Ft. Madison. He was an avid fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Sue Turner of Keokuk; four sons, LaVail Turner of Ft. Madison, Iowa, Kim Turner of Springfield, Illinois, Michael Turner of Jacksonville, Illinois and George Richard Altheide and his wife, Barbara Jo, of Keokuk; one daughter, Robin Woods and her husband, James, of Jacksonville, Illinois; eight grandchildren including Kody Kim Turner of Ft. Madison and Dionna Linn Turner of Rio, Illinois; four brothers, William Lee Bell of Decatur, Illinois, William Junior Bell of Ft. Madison, Iowa, Guy Bell of Ft. Madison, Iowa and Norman Bell of Ft.
