Margie L. Grimes, 81, of Keokuk, Iowa, died Saturday, July 17, 2004 at 1:00 P.M. at Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk, Iowa. Margie Grimes was born on May 16, 1923 in Keokuk, Iowa. She was the daughter of Horace F. and Elva Bell Stephenson Mann. She married Manley B. Grimes on May 29, 1944 in Cairo, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 26, 1999. She was a lifelong resident of Keokuk and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Bel Air Baptist Church of Keokuk, the American Legion Auxiliary of Keokuk, and the Malta Shrine of White Shrine of Jerusalem. She enjoyed playing card with friends, crocheting, gardening and her dog. Services were Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at DeJong's Funeral Home in Keokuk with Reverend Mike McMillen officiating. Burial was in Keokuk National Cemetery.
