Edna M. Gonzales, 83 of Brighton, passed away on November 28, 2017. She was born on May 26, 1934 in Benton, Tennessee to Edward and Alva L. (Herrin) Lockhart. She attended public schools in Tennessee. On April 4, 1964 she married Felix A. Gonzales in Montgomery, Tennessee. Edna was a resident of Brighton since 1972 where she worked briefly at Gibsons and Yellow Front stores.
Edna truly loved her trips "up the mountain" to Blackhawk. She loved working in her gardens, growing vegetables and flowers and collecting yard ornaments. Cooking for the holidays was another love where an open chair was always at her table with plenty to eat. Her life was dedicated to her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Debbie A. Sandoval, Lisa D. (Marty) Roberts both of Brighton, CO; sons, John K. (Sheryl) Pensyl of Thornton, CO, James E. (Lisette) Gonzales, Felix A Gonzales, II and David L. Gonzales, all of Brighton, CO; sisters, Linda, Judy and Janet, all of Tennessee; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
