om Mortimer and his wife, Carol, of Dumfries, Virginia and Sara Coffman and her husband, Larry, of Kirksville, Missouri; seven brother and sisters, Larry "Jack" Mortimer of Keokuk, Raymond Mortimer of Monmouth, Illinois, Fuller Mortimer of Keokuk, Bobby Dean of Keokuk, Rosetta Worster of Alexandria, Missouri, Betty Miller of Keokuk and Peggy Conover of Port St. Louis, Florida; fifteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Violet Mortimer. Services were Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at 10:00 A.M. at DeJong's Funeral Home in Keokuk with Reverend Dan Deatrick officiating. Burial was in Keokuk National Cemetery with full military rites. Visitation was Monday, February 21, 2005 at DeJong's Funeral Home in Keokuk after 2:00 P.M. with the family meeting friends from 6-8 P.M. There was a public Elks Memorial service held at 6:00 PM Monday at DeJong's Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Elks Lodge # 106 Scholarship Fund.
