Patsy Ann Bell

Patsy Ann Payne Bell, 57, of Keokuk, died Saturday, March 19, 2005 at 12:40 P.M. at the Montrose Health Care Center in Montrose, Iowa. Patsy Bell was born on September 5, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was the daughter of Floyd Lewis and Della Kneal Payne. She married Gary Stephenson. She later married Butch Bell. She had lived in Keokuk since 1959 and was a homemaker. She received her G.E.D. in 1984, an accomplishment she was very proud of. She was a country singer with the band, "Patsy and the Country Reflections". She was a member of the Church of the New Beginnings. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Washburn and her partner, Diane of Fort Madison, Iowa and Lora Porter and her husband Karl of Keokuk; two sons, Michael Bell and his wife Jennifer of Hamilton, IL and Daniel Bell and his wife Kim of Keokuk; ten grandchildren, Nancy, William, and Tamara Washburn, Brandon and Bethany Sparrow, and Dalton, Allison, and Alexis Bell and Tasha and Patricia Penrod; four great grandchildren, Isaiah and Colton Burgess and Jazzlynn and Jersy Penrod; five brothers, Bob Payne and his wife, Mary, Larry Payne and his wife, Susie, Ronnie Payne ansd his wife, Suzan, and Gary P...[more]

e and his wife, Trish, all of Keokuk and David Payne of Flagstaff, Arizona; four sisters, Peggy Skinner of Keokuk, Vickie Pezley and her husband, Dennis, of Palmyra, Missouri, and Melody and Lisa Payne of Richmond, Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, one niece, and two nephews. Services were Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at DeJong's Funeral Home in Keokuk with Reverend Floyd Payne and Brother Bill Hauser officiating. Burial was in the Vincennes Cemetery in Argyle, Iowa. A memorial has been established.
